Beginners Knitting - Saturday 1st June

In this class, you'll learn the basics of knitting - holding the needles, learning the cable cast on method, the basic knitting stitch (known as garter stitch), the purl stitch (to use with the knit stitch to create stocking stitch) and how to cast off.

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wanting to refresh the basics.

In the class you will work towards completion of a small square swatch (as pictured) which can be repeated in a number of different colours to create a number of useful items.

Time: 3.15pm - 5.15pm

Length of Course: 2 hours

Fee includes: Pony Bamboo needles, 1 x 100g ball of West Yorkshire Spinners ColourLab Aran, a Learn To Knit printed guide and pattern instructions for a square sample. The sample can be added to with more sample squares to create a small blanket or cushion front.
