Hand Embroidered 'Fern' Motif - Saturday 4th and 11th May
Come and spend two lovely afternoons, mindful making, in our relaxing and creative surroundings learning a number of hand embroidery techniques to create a stunning 'fern' motif.
This class is suitable for hand embroidery beginners/improvers and will take you through a variety of stitches which you can then use to create your own designs. All materials are provided so you only need to bring yourself!
In the class, depending on how quickly you work, you should be able to complete the motif and will have materials and equipment left to practise your new skills at home.
Time: 2.15pm - 5.15pm - Saturday 4th and 11th May (two 3 hour sessions on consecutive Saturday afternoons).
Tutor: Peter - The Viking Embroiderer
Peter is mainly self taught from the age of 7! He has also completed Master Classes in Embroidery Techniques with London-based artist, Michele Carragher. Michele has worked as a Costume Embroiderer on film and tv productions including Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon and Peaky Blinders.
Peter has a particular interest in using vintage and antique threads, beads and other materials to create his beautiful works of art!
Length of Course: 6 hours (2 x 3 hour sessions).
Fee includes: 3 x skeins of DMC EcoVita organic natural dyed wool thread, wool felt sheet, selection of specialist threads, small wooden embroidery hoop, sewing needles, colour printed instructions and template.
