Malabrigo Yarns are a family-owned yarn company located in Uruguay and Peru and they have developed a line of Hand-Dyed yarns of incredible softness and wonderful colour variations. Their products are made out of the softest fibres available and inspired by nature, as well as landscapes, places, art and day-to-day life. Malabrigo employs mostly women of all ages, and always tries to give job opportunities to people that have fewer opportunities than the average individual.
Malabrigo Washted
A superwash version of the classic Malabrigo Worsted Merino base. While remaining true to the original softness of worsted, they ‘washed it’ so you can too, allowing more freedom and ease of care. Having the same weight as Worsted, it can be used interchangeably for any projects you may have planned for Worsted. Like all Malabrigo yarns, it is kettle-dyed in small batches by our artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty.
Great for: Accessories and garments, next-to-skin wear, cables, textured stitches, colour-work, anything where warmth and comfort are a factor!
The colours shown on photos are illustrated as reference, they can differ on more or less of one tone, due to the hand-dyed process.
